Awards season 2024 is in session and we couldn’t be happier because it means we get to see some iconic looks hit the red carpet. The glitz and the glam is back and we’re here to talk about it! This year neutral shades and monochrome seem to be trending and we are here for it! Another iconic look that we are seeing rise in popularity has to be the cut out and diamond trend paired with gorgeous clutch bags and neutral glam makeup with no bold lips. Who doesn’t love some dazzling diamonds?
The team at Whatson UK were glued to their social media, seeing what all the stars were wearing and we selected our top outfits that we loved seeing on the red carpet. Spoiler alert there’s lots of sparkles ahead!
- Hannah Waddingham
The “Ted Lasso” star stunned on the red carpet with this classic but sophisticated classic black dress look with a twist. Sadly this time around on the red carpet she did not have a handmade bag by her daughter. You never know Hannah’s Daughter could be the next Vivviene Westwood with her designing skills. Maybe we will see another one of her daughter’s creations at the next red carpet event in Summer 2024.
- Claudia Winkleman
The Traitors and Strictly Come Dancing presenter moved away from her signature elegant black look and experimented with a cream look still staying within her classic monochrome style paired with a neutral toned bag. Neutral tones and monochrome seem to be a running theme on the red carpet this year and we LOVE IT!
- Stacey Solomon
Our favourite Loose Women panellist took to the BAFTAs with a shimmer classic black dress look paired with white nails and a Roberto Coin bracelet. The gold tones of the bracelet really suit the look making it extra timeless!
- The Mambuse sisters (Oti and Motsi)
Strictly Come Dancing’s most iconic dancer duo took to the red carpet showcasing their bold, but classy looks just like they do on Strictly come dancing. Motsi’s bold cape was really eye-catching and a wonderful statement piece. Oti’s shimmer pattern in her dress really made the outfit go from a classic simple black dress to a glamorous red carpet show stopper. It’s a ten from us!
- Georgia Harrison
Love Island All Star’s finest, Georgia was matching with the red carpet in her cherry red dress paired with a matching clutch bag and some sensational diamond cut outs. She was putting behind her Love Island drama in style as her ex Anton Danyluk debuted his new beau at the event. This dress looks like prom season inspo and we love it!
- Emily Attack
Baby Blue! Now this is a colour that suits I’m a Celebrity Get me Out of Here and Inbetweeners star Emily Attack. She is the perfect picture of serenity in a floating gown, which is slightly different to what we have been seeing on the red carpet this season, but with her hair effortlessly pinned to perfection she definitely looks amazing. Congratulations Emily!
- Joe Lycette
We love our Brummie Icon dressing like the King that he is! This look is very chrome and is giving royalty vibes with the cloak and halo. He even came prepared with a fan- that’s icon behaviour. Very Glamorous Joe!
- Laura Anderson
The new Capital Scotland breakfast host looked the part with her sparkly shoes. We love the puffy sleeves adding another dimension to the outfit. She is glowing after having a baby!
- Helen Bonham Carter
Very Ted Baker esque outfit here from our Harry Potter legend. The florals paired with dark tones are a great transitional piece from spring to summer. The sunglasses really make the look that extra bit unusual. We think it suits you perfectly Helen!
- Amber Gill
Former Love Island winner and Geordie style icon Amber Gill was following the trend with this sheer dress. The strappy shoulders really add the summer vibe to this outfit with some beautiful smokey eye makeup to finish off the look. We think she looks amazing!
That’s the Whatson UK round up of the Best Dressed at the BAFTAs. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the awards season holds for outfits. We think it is going to be pretty exciting. Check back here to see more about the world of fashion and entertainment.
