It's hard to believe that a year has passed since my first visit to the Cake International, Creative Craft and Simply Christmas shows. I looked forward to this year with great anticipation and was not disappointed. My wife, who is a wheelchair user, attended with me.
We started with Cake International and before entering, we were faced with an amazing, lifesize, Ozzy Osborne cake structure. This impressive entrance continued with more fantastic creations. The cakes came in many shapes ansd sizes, with wonderful details. The skills shown were incredibly high and the themes and designs gave all who attended a visual feast. Some had their cakes damaged in transit, which must have been extremely disappointing for them. Overall, it was a truly amazing exhibition.
The Creative Craft Show offered a lot to any keen bakers and crafters, with a range of skills to suit many, whatever their skills level. Items were generally of good quality and good prices and friendly exhibitors helped when needing information or a purchase. We saw many people with their very full craft cases, which , considering the range of goods and prices, did not surprise us.
Then, it was the Simply Christmas Show and what a fantastic place to purchase authentic and unique gifts. A wide range of items from small to big were available to suit any budget. A superb way to get those Christmas gifts , as well as beautiful decorations.
All in all, this was a great day and an event that I would highly recommend. A lot of hard work clearly goes into planning and setting things up. We did, however, face a problem with accessability at many of the stalls, as my wife was unable to enter and look at the merchandise due to lack of space. Despite this, we look forward to hopefully returning next year. I would like to thank all involved in organising such a great event and special thanks are due to Mia, for arranging our visit to review.
