ICC World Cup 2023: Dates and Time

India hosts the 2023 Cricket World Cup from October 5th to November 19th, with day matches starting at 10:30 AM IST and day-night matches starting at 2 PM IST.

ICC ODI World Cup 2023: Teams and Format

The 2023 Cricket World Cup will follow the same format as the 2019 tournament, with all 10 teams playing each other once in a round-robin group. The 10 teams – India, England, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh,  and Netherlands.

World Cup 2023: Points Required to Reach Semi Finals

Teams need to win at least seven of their nine matches to be sure of reaching the semi-finals. If two teams are tied on points, the team with the most wins will progress. If they are still tied, the team with the better net run rate will advance.

Reserve days have been scheduled for both the semi-finals and the final of the 2023 Cricket World Cup. If matches cannot be completed on their original days, they will be played on the reserve days, which are the following days.

ICC World Cup 2023: Prize Money

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced a prize money pool of USD 10 million (approximately Rs 83 crore) for the 2023 Cricket World Cup. The winner will receive USD 4 million (approximately Rs 33 crore), while the runners-up will get USD 2 million (approximately Rs 16 crore).
