1. On Instagram, DOJA CAT let go of beauty norms and shaved her brows – Like many others online, a video of Doja Cat has been viewed as she shaving her brows this morning. The “Get into It” singer opened up about how she’s always loathed having hair during a live Instagram video on Thursday, Aug. 4, before cutting off her eyebrows. Even though Doja Cat’s lack of eyebrows is trending on Twitter, I was more moved by what the Grammy winner had to say about hair before getting her makeover. Doja Cat expressed some frank, vulnerable realities about hair and beauty standards before applying cream to her forehead. She spoke for around two minutes and included an especially heartbreaking account of what it’s like to try to exercise while wearing a wig.

2. Machine Gun Kelly Slams “You’re So Dumb” to Person Who Said “Homophobic Slur” On Tour Bus – Do the crime properly if you’re going to do it. When someone spray-painted a series of sexually explicit images and a homophobic slur on what they believed to be Colson Baker’s tour bus on Thursday, August 4, Machine Gun Kelly relayed that message. You’re so stupid, the rap rocker stated in an Instagram Story. You misidentified my bus when you spray-painted it. Incorrect bus, you f—ing moron! Do the crime’s initial component appropriately. Kelly claimed that the anonymous tagger waited until 5 a.m. to post their hateful message, which read “‘Rap Devil F—-it’s on one side, with a giant image of an ejaculating penis on the other.

3. On Twitter, Galantis makes a hint about a potential BTS collaboration – On August 6, the group shared a BTS-choreographed music video for their 2017 song “DNA” on Twitter. The film was modified to include a portion of Galanti’s and author Craig David’s 2022 song of the same name. With the hashtag “#gotsomethingcooking” and the words “There’s something in your DNA moves,” they hinted that Galantis would be collaborating with the boy band BTS in their tweet. Big Hit Music and BTS have not yet made any comments on a potential partnership. But if accurate, this would be the group’s second collaboration with Galantis following the duo BTS and Coldplay’s “My Universe” Remix in November. Just last week, BTS unveiled Bad Decisions, a new project they worked on alongside Snoop Dogg and producer Benny Blanco. Vocalists Snoop and BTS Jungkook, Jimin, V, and Gin contributed to the song that was the result of a music video featuring Blanco.

4. Performances by Anitta, Panic! at the Disco, J Balvin, and Others at the 2022 MTV VMAs – At the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, performances by Anitta, J Balvin and Ryan Castro, Marshmello and Khalid, and Panic! At the Disco are scheduled. On Sunday, August 28, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, the program will be televised live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Anitta will perform her single “Evolver,” which peaked at the top of the Billboard Global Excl U.S. chart in April, to mark her VMA debut. The track is off of her fifth studio album, Versions of Me, and it has reached as high as No. 3 on the Hot Latin Songs chart and No. 70 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song’s music video by Anitta is up for best Latin video. She becomes the first Brazilian artist to receive a VMA nomination in addition to receiving her first nomination.
