It’s been 20 years since we have our fantasy land by Harry Potter franchise. On its 20 years celebration by HBO Max, the whole cast of Harry Potter will be gathered. It will be an HBO special, ‘Return To Hogwarts.’
- HBO special, ‘Return To Hogwarts’ will be premiered on January 1, 2022, on HBO Max. With that cast will celebrate the 20th year of screening the first film of the franchise ‘Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone’.
- Daniel Radcliffe (Harry), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), alongside director Chris Columbus and other cast members over the franchise, will feature in this special edition.
- There will be other cast members featured in the special too, including Robbie Coltrane, Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch, and Ian Hart.
- It is expected of the special to be released on HBO Max in the US and other platforms around the world.
- As per HBO Max, the special will “tell an enchanting making-of story through all-new, in-depth interviews and cast conversations.”
- Tom Ascheim, president of Warner Bros. Global Kids, Young Adults, and Classics, said, ‘It has been an incredible journey since the debut of the Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone film, and witnessing how it has evolved into this remarkable interconnected universe has been magical, to say the least.
- ‘This retrospective is a tribute to everyone whose lives were touched by this cultural phenomenon – from the talented cast and crew who poured their heart and soul into this extraordinary film franchise to the passionate fans who continue to keep the Wizarding World spirit alive 20 years later.’
- The franchise spans seven mainline books of J. K. Rowling, which were adapted into eight films. The final film was released in 2011, ‘Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2’. Long after that, nothing was for the fans of their favorite franchise. Now they are expecting something great!
Lastly, a few years back, in 2016, a theatre adaptation titled Harry Potter and The Cursed Child was released, which continued the story from the original books.
