Columbia University economist Jeffrey Sachs, talks about his recently published paper titled, “The West’s false Narrative About Russia and China”. In this paper Sachs talks about U.S approach of bipartisan of foreign policies is “unaccountably dangerous and wrongheaded”. He also warns that the U.S is creating “a recipe for yet another war” in East Asia.

Jeffrey Sachs starts his paper with the quotation, “the world is on the edge of nuclear catastrophe in no small part because of the failure of Western political leaders to be forth night about the causes of the escalating global conflict. The relentless Western narrative that the West is noble while Russia and China are evil is simple-minded and extraordinarily dangerous”.

Jefrey Sachs claims that the western world is not using diplomacy but instead weaponry, this doesn’t make world safer, but only US safer. With the toppling down of USSR, America assumed that the world has become unipolar, and U.S is the sole superpower. All the American foreign policies have become militarized. The approach of US is only military-first or only military based approach in Russia and China. Sachs also claims that America has always been into proxy wars whether it be Afghanistan or Iraq, or covert war against Assad in Syria. He further put forward that the Ukraine war could have been avoided with diplomacy. If NATO was to be enlarged then, the security of the country was to be in jeopardy. This same policy is applied for East Asia that led to war in Ukraine.

China and Russia at the false annotation of the Western agenda

He further adds that, the disproportionate power of the western world, and especially the Anglo-Saxon world. The recent rise of the China has made US affront with China. And US declared China as the enemy country. In 2008, Bush said that NATO will expand to Ukraine and to Georgia. But the explicit plan was to surround Russia in the Black Sea, and cut out off its military presence and establish any other presence of the wester in the eastern Mediterranean.

The expansion of NATO will only lead to jeopardy in the security of the countries. The proxy war that has been lead by the Western and the United States is only for the military expansion and also for acquiring greater resources available with the Middle-East countries, which America is devoid off. Russia and China have been pinned as the campions of enemy country, though Russia is neither anti-European nor anti-America, but the arrogance of America of being superior led us to see what we saw in today’s modern world. The world needs more pf diplomacy and not weaponry to feel safe. As Karl Marx said, “history repeats itself, first as tragedy and second as farce”. This is the cycle and now the world is aware of the lies which the America puts up against China and Russia to remain on the chair of superior powers.
