Yes, there was a lot going on during the Sunday broadcast of the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards (Aug. 28). And all the Performances from 2022 VMA each are ranked 13 to number 1.

It was a night that did satisfaction. Pink clouds, Yankee Stadium, a misplaced drumstick, the metaverse, Fergie making an unexpected cameo, and a surprise album announcement are all mentioned.

The “Super Freaky Girl” rapper Nicki Minaj has joined the likes of Michael Jackson, Madonna, Missy Elliott, and other pop culture giants as the 2022 VMAs Video Vanguard Award winner.

Additionally, LL Cool J, Jack Harlow, and Minaj served as co-hosts of the program. Red Hot Chili Peppers, who won the Global Icon Award at the 2022 VMAs.

Anitta, Bad Bunny, J Balvin and Ryan Castro, BLACKPINK, Kane Brown, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Marshmello and Khalid, Lizzo, Mneskin, and Panic! At the Disco were just a few of the many artists who performed at the VMAs who crossed genres.

With eight nominations each, Doja Cat, Harlow, and Harry Styles were the most nominated artists at the 2022 VMAs. Billie Eilish received six nods, followed by Kendrick Lamar with seven, Drake with six, and Lil Nas X with five.

Five artists received nominations: BTS, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Future, Lizzo, Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd.

Here are all the 2022 VMAs performances, ranked, from Harlow’s opening number to Anitta’s booty-shaking show stopper to Minaj’s killer medley of hip-hop legends.

13. J Balvin and Ryan Castro, “Nivel De Perreo”– J Balvin and fellow Colombian musician Ryan Castro blazed through “Nivel De Perre” while looking sharp in their zebra print leggings.

12. Panic! At the Disco, “Don’t Let the Light Go Out”- After Bad Bunny gave a raucous performance in another state, Panic! In terms of performance, At the Disco wrapped up the VMAs.

11. Khalid & Marshmello, “Numb”– Khalid performed their most recent collaboration, “Numb,” a lightly funky earworm that follows their previous collaboration, “Silence,” with Marshmello on guitar (and wearing green! Green!).

10. Red Hot Chili Peppers, “Black Summer”/”Can’t Stop”- The late drummer Taylor Hawkins was honored by Red Hot Chili Peppers both during their performance and speech. The group performed the brand-new song “Black Summer” as well as “Can’t Stop” from 2003 with vigor.

9. Snoop Dogg & Eminem, “From the D to the LBC”- During the VMAs broadcast, Snoop Dogg and Eminem made the most of the potential for a virtual performance to defy gravity .

8. Kane Brown, “Grand” – The rock-tinged sing-along single “Grand,” which Kane Brown performed, was a fantastic showcase for his powerful yet compassionate vocals and his ability to engage a crowd.

7. “About Damn Time” and “2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)” by Lizzo – Lizzo sang “About Damn Time,” which peaked at No. 1 on the Hot 100, as well as the Special highlight “2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)” at the VMAs with flawless vocal technique, high kicks, and elegant movement.

3. Anitta, “Envolver” – Anitta stalked the VMAs stage like an alley cat in search of its next victim, rubbing up against her dancers before breaking into some utterly vicious choreography and fulfilling her ass-shaking threat.

2. BLACKPINK, “Pink Venom” – BLACKPINK debuted “Pink Venom,” a brand-new song, with furious choreography and lightning-fast vocals.
