The 1975’s Matty Healy joined Phoebe Bridgers on stage Tuesday night at London’s Brixton Academy to sing along to “I Know the End.” At the conclusion of her summertime UK and European “Reunion Tour,” Bridgers performed the opening show of a four-night residency at the storied south London venue this week.

As part of her European and UK “Reunion Tour,” Bridgers gave a performance Friday night (July 26) at the O2 Academy Brixton. As is traditional for Bridgers’ performances, the main set closing was “I Know The End,” the last track on her 2020 album “Punisher.”

At the concert’s conclusion, Bridgers invited support band, Sloppy Jane, on stage to play strings during the song “I Know the End.” At the song’s peak, Healy unexpectedly showed up on the side of the stage to sing along before vanishing without saying a word.

This is the second time a performer has joined Bridgers on stage for “I Know The End” on her current tour. Clairo and her band recently joined the singer-songwriter during a performance in Milan as a thank-you for Bridgers’ earlier that evening appearance on Clairo’s song “Bags.”

The 1975’s 2020 single, “Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America,” which appeared on the group’s fourth album, “Notes on a Conditional Form,” included Bridgers’ contributions.lauded the song as “another change of pace from a crew who relish the unexpected” in a single review following its debut.

Healy and Bridgers previously shared the stage in October 2021, when Healy’s surprise appearance as the opening act for Bridgers’ Los Angeles concert brought the two together to sing their duet of “Jesus Christ, 2005, God Bless America.”

Bridgers has invited a variety of musicians to join her on stage as part of her summer tour to sing “I Know the End.” Maggie Rogers and Rina Sawayama joined her on stage at the Latitude Festival last weekend.

Over the summer, Bridgers has frequently appeared as a special guest in other people’s performances. She has performed “Bags” by Clairo with them in Milan, “Just Like Honey” with The Jesus and Mary Chain at Glastonbury, and “Runaway Horses” with The Killers with them in the Czech Republic throughout the tour In 1975, on the other hand, made a comeback this month with the release of “Part of the Band,” the lead single off their upcoming fifth album, Being Funny in a Foreign Language.
