Owners of Far Cry 6 on PS4 in the United Kingdom said that they are unable to upgrade to the PS5 version due to obtaining Russian versions of the game.
Ubisoft has given out the incorrect game version in the past. These Russian CDs do not hamper gameplay. But the Russian CD does block UK players from upgrading to the current version of the game unless they transfer to a Russian PSN account, as revealed by Eurogamer.
The problem with this remedy is that it erases all of the game progress and stops players from using any DLC associated with a UK account.
In December, users who possessed PS4 copies of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs Legion were unable to upgrade to PS5 versions due to the same issue.
Ubisoft ultimately fixed the issue, but it appears that it hasn’t learned from its previous failures. This time, hopefully, a comparable repair can be developed in less time.
Gamers get a secret ending in the game, as well as QR codes that could lead to a Far Cry survival game. There are a few more things to consider before playing the game, such as the need for strong suppressors and your own vehicle.
