Western countries have always played well in their power dimensions and Asian countries have been their bait. China, the only socialist country well understands the Western play of chess to remain in power through playing with the South Asian countries. New cold war era has started. This was is against China and Western countries have been pressurizing other Southeast Asian to side against China.
Western countries have always regarded socialist or communist countries as their threat. Soviet Union before its breakdown was regarded as one of the major threat for Western countries. And hence NATO was formed. In the same way, China is now being regarded by world leaders as the “security risk”. Foreign minister Wang Yi told, “we should insulate this region from geopolitical calculations. And also from being used as chess pieces from major power rivalry and from coercion”.
It was first time such language has been incorporated in relation to China for the military alliance’s renewed strategy documentation. Mr. Wang restated support for the “One China” policy towards Taiwan. When this principle of “One China” is threatened or sabotaged “there will be dark clouds or even ferocious storms across the strait”.
The ideology of China is different from that of the Western countries. The distinct differences between the communist China and Capitalist Western powers doesn’t comes to settle on a mutual understanding. This is the reason why Asian countries have been pressurized to side against China. If China stands alone in this new cold war ear, the Western countries could easily defeat China with their economic, and social blockage. Western countries have always been hostile to communist countries and this time, they might play Southeast Asian countries as “pieces of Chess” for their pawn. China’s warning should not go unheeded, this warning calls for action.
