This exhibition explores the forgotten stories and artistic contributions of female painters from the 16th to 18th centuries, whose achievements were often overshadowed by their male peers. Featuring around 130 pieces, the showcase includes renowned names like Lavinia Fontana, Artemisia Gentileschi, and Angelika Kauffmann, alongside lesser-known artists such as Laura Piranesi, Louise Seidler, and Emma Gaggiotti—many of whose works were once mistakenly credited to male masters or relatives.
