But is the global food crisis which is looming large solely Russia’s fault- as portrayed by western media? Climate change and Covid-19 imposed lockdown have been repeatedly blamed for this scenario.

The American powers have changed the concept of global food security. The Arab Spring, which was a series of hunger events in which hunger played a major role. And violent uprisings and the unresolved civil wars in Libya, Yemen, and Syria fueled the war. Big techs, Western officials, and influencers fueled this mayhem in the name of ‘freedom and democracy’. And the Americans and EU has blamed only Russia for this food security crisis.

Here are some of the inexcusable failings of the purveyors of global governance. These are linked to very issues which Biden and Von der Leyen are using as scapegoat for Russia.

Granaries were an indispensable feature of the ancient civilizations. The Bible also recounts the incident of Joseph guiding Egypt through famine to the granaries. The Arab Spring and its bloody aftermath should have taught government a lesson of establishing new national granaries. Well-maintained facilities can store wheat and corn, amongst other goods. If the government has failed to set up a strategic food stockpile in the aftermath of the Arab Spring.

The energy war between Russia and Europe has pushed the price of natural gas to the roof. As fertilizers are made of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Nitrogen and ammonia are extracted mainly from natural gas. Therefore, food scarcity is mainly linked to fossil fuel production. Liquid fertilizers can be stored for decades, while organic fertilizers have 5-8 years of shelf-life. Dry granular or crystalized fertilizers can be stored indefinitely. Then how is Russia to be blamed?

West European farms, by extension, have become the biggest global reservoir of microplastics due to their sewage sludge. The degradation of the EU’s farmland may be exacerbated by the Russia-Ukraine conflict. They contain a variety of contaminants and hazardous pathogens that may affect the entire food chain. Contaminants such as nano plastics cannot be filtered out using conventional means.

The ongoing West-Russia conflict may result in the starvation of hundreds of million of additional people. Storing food and other material could have avoided this catastrophe. The poorer societies- primarily Africa, Middle East and the South Asia. As Lenin had said, “lie often told becomes truth”, and in this case West’s lie to color Russia as the sole responsible for the food crisis has become the truth to the known world. But is it the real truth? or lie disguised has truth?
