Twice a year, I look forward to the A.M.C.S. production and am never disappointed with the finished product. It is a pleasure to support an organisation which is based close to where I live and some of those who take part are known to me personally. 

"So This Is Christmas" contained a variety of songs from musicals down through the years (incorporating the Christmas theme), combined with regular Christmas favourites.  The story was woven together by an excellent narrative, delivered in the form of someone who had acted in musical theatre sharing memories with her grandchildren. The songs performed ranged from the lively and comical to the quieter and more sentimental  and this balance added much to the enjoyment of the occasion. 

The show was presented in three acts and the final one contained a lovely selection of familiar Christmas carols, which are a reminder to us of what the season is actually all about. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable evening and I am already looking  forward with anticipation to the productions in 2025.
