Sir Cliff Richard has been a huge influence in my life, both musically and personally and I was really looking forward to this show. Jimmy Jermain sings, looks and even speaks like Cliff (he was even educated at the same school) , as he takes us through the many years and the varied performances of Cliff's career. From the early rock 'n roll era, through the Swinging Sixties, Eurovision and the following decades, we experience the breadth of Cliff's talent and ability to sing and interpret so many great songs.

It's difficult to think of Cliff Richard without mentioning The Shadows and in this show, Jimmy is accompanied by The Undercover Shadows, who brilliantly recapture the sound (and stage movements)  of this iconic group. The lead guitarist even bears an uncanny resemblance to Hank Marvin!  I enjoyed hearing those classic instrumentals once again.

I had a superb time at this show and my seat gave me an advantage in that I had no one directly beside or behind me and was able to sing along, clap and in the end, dance freely.  I notice from his website that Jimmy has bookings at home and abroad right through to 2026 and this is certainly a show well worth attending.  It is a pleasure to be able to review it and many thanks to Vicci at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall for organising my visit.
