Every year, I look forward to my visit to these shows which run concurrently at the N.E.C.  It is great to see so much creative talent on display and I am always accompanied by my wife, who is accomplished in both baking and crafting and provides me with expert advice throughout . 

This year's shows were again excellent, with very high standards in each aspect. Speaking as someone whose skills lie in other directions, I am always astounded by the intricate detail, the colour and the sheer hard work involved in producing the material on display. Given my sweet tooth, the cakes look particularly tempting! 

There are also opportunities to purchase items and we have never left yet without some useful souvenirs of the day.  These shows always make for an enjoyable prelude to the festive season and are interesting and inspiring in many different ways. We are already looking forward to next year and many thanks to Mia at One Voice Media for again organising our visit.
