BCB, the Bangladesh cricket board has arranged a concert to celebrate the birth century of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on 29th March at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. Oscar-winning musician AR Rahman will be performing here.
- The concert previously was forcefully stopped due to the pandemic situation of Covid-19 during the T20 matches of ‘Mujib Hundred Cup’ in March 2020.
- BCB chief executive Nazim Uddin Chowdhury popped up on the news. After two years finally, the occasion is on the way to happening. The cricket board asked for the time from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. AR Rahman performed for BCB before in the T20 World Cup 2014 in Bangladesh. The stage will be fully loaded by top music stars of Bangladesh including the Oscar-winning Indian personnel AR Rahman.
- Due to the pressure of the international matches, BCB is now cannot arrange the T20 matches but the cricket board gave confirmation about the concert. Kieron Ollard, Faf du Plessis, Chris Gale, Virat Kohli, Lokesh Rahul was about to play in two T20 matches in 2020, and further when the opportunity arises the BCB thinking to organize that matches.
We are enjoying the 50th victory anniversary of our country brought by Nations Father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Leaders’ 100th year of birth is celebrated by the nation as ‘Mujib Borsho’.
