Guitar Lesson: Bar Chords

• Major and minor chords are the building blocks of Western music.
• Bar chords are a type of chord that can be played with one hand.
• F, F#, G, G#, A, A#, B, C, C#, D, D#, and E are all notes on the guitar.
• To play a bar chord, you need to place your index finger on the fifth fret of the third string, your middle finger on the sixth fret of the second string, and your ring finger on the seventh fret of the first string.
• To play a major chord, you need to play the root note, the major third, and the perfect fifth.
• To play a minor chord, you need to play the root note, the minor third, and the perfect fifth.
