Burr Island return with 60s infused anti-capitalist 4th single – ‘Towers’
Only a couple of minutes long, definitely has that 60’s rock acoustic sound, but still a nice track to chill to. This is something that I have always long admired with Burr Island in that they never through it all out there, they let it flow gently and smoothly. Their lyrics speak louder volumes and their voices are equally so.

Antarma releases his ode to peace , ‘You Are Loved’
For someone such as myself who has never heard of solo artist Antarma before I am immediately impressed by his music and the calming feel it has to it. You Are Loved just feels melodic, smooth yet has a warm and comforting tone to it. He creates a soft, almost dreamy landscape with his sound you can let your mind wonder and feel free

Award-winning Australian Americana artist Helen Townsend asks – ‘Is This Love’ with brand new single!
Now I openly admit that though I don’t always listen to Americana or Rockabilly artists or check out those tunes I am actually impressed with Is This Love by Helen Townsend. The whole song is almost like poetic storytelling, as though she’s telling either her own story of love or someone else’s. It is definitely a cheery one and is like lemon tea with honey in that it goes together

William Doyle Returns With New Single – ‘Surrender Yourself’
It’s been a few years since Great Spans of a Muddy Time but in that time he’s been keeping himself busy. Surrender Yourself is about the debate between man and Artificial Intelligence. There’s a cleverly written lyric which directly references the discussion about whether wisdom will be shared or if it’s going to go wrong. William’s been clever here in creating it as an unsuspecting acoustic

LAGUNA GOONS – Spanish Quartet Share New Single “Teachers” || + Five-track EP – Streaming Now
A very intriguing song by the Spanish quartet about schools, pupils and teachers. In 1979 we had Another Brick in the Wall which was about out of date, brutal education systems. Teachers, takes it and shakes it up and tells it from the other side and tells the day in the life perspective of a teacher rather than the student. Ironically the band are drawing from their own experiences
