The World Cup is ready to kick off on November 21 in Qatar. The professional poster of the 2022 World Cup became discovered at the Hamad International Airport in Doha recently.

The poster became disclosed by the lady Qatari artist Bouthayna Al Muftah who additionally designed the same. Interestingly, the 2022 World Cup will have a series of posters rather than just one, as has been the case so far for World Cups.

The main poster portrays the ‘gutra’ and ‘egal’ which is their traditional headwear, being waved in the air in a celebratory manner – which is something fans do here when a goal is scored.” There are seven supporting posters as well. They show the passion of the Arab region for the global game of football. The World Cup is being hosted in the Arab world for the very first time in history.

“Our traditional headwear features prominently across many tournament assets – including the design of one of our stadiums, Al Thumama, the tournament logo, the Official Mascot, La’eeb, and now the Official Poster. We are very proud that our culture and legacy feature so heavily in everything related to the tournament.”

  • Official Match Ball for 2022 World Cup unveiled

Adidas unveiled 2022 World Cup Official Match Ball which is titled as “Al Rihla”. The ball takes its name from the Arabic word for “the journey” and inspired by the architecture of boats and flag of host nation, Qatar.

The sportswear manufacturer has unveiled its 14th ball created for the international tournament. Which the company claims to be the fastest ball "in flight" in the history of the competition.

The Al Rihla is said to move quicker in the air than any of the previous World Cup balls and reportedly provides "the highest level of accuracy and reliability on the field of play".

The Al Rihla was made purely from water-based inks and glues, a first for a World Cup model, and the launch of the ball marks the beginning of a global tour for Adidas to help "improve access and equity" for local football communities.

One per cent of all Al Rihla sales will be donated to the Common Goal movement, with the ball officially available for purchase exclusively via adidas.com and the company's retail stores from March 30.
