Dhaka had really missed winter open air concerts the past few years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The best part of all was that we got to see the 'ABC Generation' (Artcell, Black, Cryptic Fate) live after many years.

Artcell, Black, Cryptic Fate – the 'ABC' concerts were known to be a hallmark of the 2000's and 2010's. After almost a decade, these three mighty bands was returned to the stage with the concert

  • Qatar to host another GRAND Event!

Qatar will host next year's Asian Cup after China withdrew earlier this year. The Asian Football Confederation confirmed it on Monday.

China won the bid to host the event back in 2019 but withdrew its proposal in May this year. The primary reason is China's its "zero-Covid" policy, leaving the AFC authorities to find a new host for its flagship men's 24-team football tournament.

The Asian Cup takes place once every four years. Qatar won the last edition in 2019, which was hosted by the UAE.

  • The 2022 UEFA European Women’s Football Championship, commonly referred to as UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 or simply Euro 2022, was the 13th edition of the UEFA Women’s Championship, the quadrennial international football championship organized by UEFA for the women’s national teams of Europe. It was the second edition since it was expanded to 16 teams.

The tournament was hosted by England and was originally scheduled to take place from 7 July to 1 August 2021. However, following the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe and subsequent postponements of the 2020 Summer Olympics and UEFA Euro 2020 to summer 2021, the tournament was rescheduled for 6 to 31 July 2022. England last hosted the tournament in 2005, the last to feature eight teams.

  • 𝗙𝗜𝗙𝗔 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗿𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝘂𝗽 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮

The clock is ticking fast, Qatar World Cup 2022 is just months away from the fans. With the World Cup coming up ahead, FIFA has already introduced some new rules and made key changes that will impact the games for sure.

    𝗦𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻
Have you ever been disappointed with your team's squad? That is mostly because some players did not make it to the final squad but you thought they deserve more than someone else. Well, It mostly happens cause coaches are bound to choose only 23 players. In this World Cup, It might be a very different experience!

FIFA has announced that World Cup squads will be comprised of 26 players which were 23 players earlier. Well, we have seen it before - in the Euro 2020 as policy-makers formulated rules due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, only 23 players will be allowed to appear in matchday squads. The other three will miss the game but not the tournament, they will be able to play the other matches - upon the coach's decision.

    𝗙𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱
This is not new to the football fans either, but new to the World Cup. As a bigger squad will be seen this year, the number of subs also increased. But managers will have only three windows to make changes. The rule extends further if nations go to extra-time in the knockout matches. From there, managers may use another extra substitute, and they also have one extra substitution opportunity.

This World Cup is going to be more inclusive - as more players will get their chances to represent their nation on the pitch. It will allow the coaches to have more options to play tactically, indicating the games might be more competitive than ever!

  • 𝗟𝗮'𝗲𝗲𝗯: 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗜𝗙𝗔 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝘂𝗽 𝗤𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮

After a long period of the covid-19 pandemic, people are coming back to normal life. People are coming back to offices, educational institutes along with sports events. As we all know that FIFA world cup 2022 will be held in Qatar, along with sports enthusiasts the whole nation is waiting for this biggest event. Already FIFA has announced the official ball of this year's tournament. Recently they introduced the official mascot named “La'eeb”.

The debut of La'eeb at the draw had fans talking, with many posing similar questions: What is it exactly? What is the meaning behind it? Below I will explain what FIFA and the designers had in mind through the creation of La'eeb.

What initially glance has the looks of a gutra, a cloth headdress worn in Qatar, the mascot isn't meant to possess a hard and fast anthropomorphic identity, consistent with the marketing team that created it.

According to the FIFA website, an Arabic word, the name La’eeb means super-skilled player. He belongs to a parallel mascot verse that's indescribable – most are invited to interpret what it's like. La’eeb encourages everyone to believe in themselves as ‘Now is All’. He will bring the enjoyment of football to everyone. La’eeb is going to be known for his youthful spirit; spreading joy and confidence everywhere he goes.

La’eeb comes from a parallel world where tournament mascots live. It is a world where ideas and creativity form the basis of characters that live in the minds of everyone. La’eeb is going to be everywhere – welcoming the planet, inspiring young fans, and cheering the action during the tournament, which will happen from 21 November to 18 December.

The business landscape is changing. COVID-19 pandemic aside, perspectives toward ‘traditional’ ways of doing business are changing. What’s more, there’s evidence to suggest that ladies are playing an outsized role in shaping this way forward for the business.

In this situation, Meta, once known as Facebook, is now extending its # SheMeansBusiness agenda to Bangladesh to provide women entrepreneurs with the skills, connections, and technology needed to build and grow their businesses online. This program was launched in partnership with the ICT Division’s Aspire to Innovate (a2i) program, the Bangladesh Women's Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI), and LightCastle Partners.

Selima Ahmad MP, President, and founding father of BWCCI said: "Successful women entrepreneurs contribute to their families’ well-being and therefore the country’s economy. We are excited to figure with Meta to empower more women in both urban and rural areas with skills and resources in order that they can lead by example."

Beth Ann Lim, director of Policy Programs and Government Outreach for the Asia Pacific and Global Head of # SheMeansBusiness at Meta, said: "Every day, we see women entrepreneurs crushing odds and coming online to build their businesses. This not only changes their lives and communities but also has an overwhelmingly favorable impact on the economy. We are excited to bring our # SheMeansBusiness program to Bangladesh as a part of Meta’s commitment to support women-owned businesses and help propel the country towards a more equal, inclusive, and digital future." #SheMeansBusiness is now active in 38 countries around the world. Meta and its network of partners have trained quite a million women globally.
