FIFA and EA Sports are set to end their partnership after two decades of the video game

Electronic Arts (EA) will stop producing its hugely successful FIFA video game in its existing name, marking a split in one of football's most successful and lucrative partnerships after the sides failed to hit a new licensing deal.

The current deal, which was to end after this year’s World Cup in Qatar, has been modified to run through to the Women’s World Cup next summer. Once that tournament is over, the company said, 150 million FIFA video game players will have to get used to a new name for the series: EA Sports FC.

The game itself will not vary much. Most of the world’s renowned clubs and superstars will still be playable because of separate licensing agreements with their teams and leagues. Anyways, the World Cup itself and other FIFA-controlled events will no longer be included.

On the other side, FIFA promised a "number of new non-simulation games (that) are already under production" and will launch forth of the 2022 World Cup that kicks off in Qatar on this November. FIFA said it intends to construct a "new gaming model" and cited the recent takeoff of its streaming platform FIFA+.

"I can assure you that the only authentic, real game that has the FIFA name will be the best one available for gamers and football fans," FIFA president Gianni Infantino said in the statement.

All of us who have enjoyed playing Age of Empires games back in our childhood - always wanted a campaign/ emperor of our very own - Bengal. Well, the wait is over! You can now play as a Bengali emperor in the Age of Empires II Definitive Edition.

Famous real-time war strategy video game Age of Empires II Definite Edition has presented a new DLC (Downloadable Content) expansion, Dynasties Of India, that lets players play as the Bengalis. The new DLC introduces three new civilizations: Gurjaras, Dravidians, and Bengalis.

The Gurjara and the Dravidian campaigns follow the stories of Emperor Babur and King Raja Chola, respectively. The new Babur campaign will have players taking the roles of Tatars and Hindustanis, with the story centered around 'the tiger' Zahir ud-Din Muhammad. The Rajendra campaign follows Rajendra Chola as he expands his empire in south India, with Dravidians being the playable civilization.

Lastly, the Devapala campaign presents Bengalis as the playable faction, offering a story about the policies and morals of emperor Devapala, the 9th-century Bengali emperor of the Pala dynasty. All tasks of these campaigns come completely voiced.

The reflection of Bangla's strong economy and diversity is visible in the game too. Bengal elephants and boats have more hitpoints and are uniquely characterized by our culture.

AOE II Definitive edition already introduced 'Lords of the West' and 'Dawn of the Dukes', with campaign missions, multiplayer civilizations, and more. Dynasties of India will be available on the Microsoft Store and Steam from April 28, 2022.
