Sabina, who scored two hat-tricks - against Pakistan in the group stage and Bhutan in the semifinal - was also named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament. The Bengal Tigresses won the Saff Championship for the first time in the sixth edition, ending India's five-year dominance. In women's South Asian football, Bangladesh had previously won age-level games, but this was the first time they had done it at the senior level. The tournament was held from 11–22 December 2021 at BSSS Mostafa Kamal Stadium, Dhaka in Bangladesh.
