  • A Queen👑whose rule spanned over 7 decades and one of the most celebrated monarchs of all times, she witnessed the world transition like no one else. This is the story of Queen Elizabeth II 👇

Born in 1926 into the British Royal family, she had slim chances of succeeding to the throne, as her father was a younger son of the king.

But, destiny had bigger things planned for her when her uncle King Edward VIII abdicated during the Wallis Simpson scandal.

Her father became King George VI and she became the heir presumptive.

In 1952, she became the Queen of the UK and Commonwealth, at a time when a number of nations under the British rule, had begun the transition towards an independent path.

Having witnessed numerous highs and lows, while staying in the limelight for decades, she maintained her calm and composure.

One of the things that I read about her was how she she made the transition as a leader while a number of people, governments, leaders, and personal situations fell around her.

P.S.: This tribute is an attempt from a history enthusiast. I sincerely hope that the monarchy evolves into something which sustains her legacy.

It takes a lot to remain consistent and Her Majesty, surely did it!
