• WhatsOn Music Academy : Increase involvement by technical and theoretical strategy.
To succeed in today's competitive music industry, WhatsOn Music Academy must increase its involvement in both technical and theoretical strategy. By focusing on these topics, the academy may broaden its curriculum while also preparing students for successful careers in music.
    1. Curriculum Revamp
Integrate Theory and Practice : One critical step in improving student learning is to ensure that theoretical concepts are strongly related to practical applications. Studying music composition, students can participate in projects that require them to apply harmonic and melodic theory to their own works. This strengthens comprehension and fosters creativity.
Increase the Number of Courses : Diverse student interests might be satisfied by offering specialized courses in subjects like advanced music theory, sound engineering, and music technology. Along with drawing in a larger student body, this also follows business trends and offers highly desired talents.
    2. Workshops
Invite Industry Professionals : Students can learn about current industry practices attending workshops and masterclasses with seasoned professionals on a regular basis. These classes can improve students' theoretical and practical abilities by covering a wide range of subjects.
Peer education : A collaborative learning atmosphere can be established by encouraging students to lead workshops on subjects they are enthusiastic about.
    3. Embracing Technology
Collaborate with Tech Companies: Establishing collaborations with music technology firms can provide students with access to state-of-the-art tools and software. These partnerships can guarantee that students are knowledgeable about industry standard technologies through workshops, demonstrations, and reduced licenses for educational usage.
Software in the Curriculum : For coeval musicians, incorporating software for music production and notation into classes is crucial. Students can acquire the technical skills required for success in the modern music industry by getting hands-on experience with equipment like Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) and audio editing software.
    4. Research and Development Promotion
Motivate Students to Conduct Research : Developing a research culture helps improve students' analytical and critical thinking abilities. Students can go deeper into their studies and gain a more thorough understanding of music by being encouraged to work on research projects that investigate theoretical ideas.
Provide a Research Sharing Platform : Students might gain a useful platform for exhibiting their work by starting an online journal or blog where they can post their research and creative endeavors. In addition to improving their academic experience.
    5. Chances for Performance
Concerts with Themed Events : The learning process can be enhanced by regularly holding themed performances that emphasize the interaction between theoretical knowledge and technical proficiency. Example, performances that highlight particular genres or historical settings could help students make the connection between their academic studies and live performance.
Start contests for compositions :Giving pupils the chance to compete in composition competitions inspires them to use their theoretical knowledge creatively. Students may be inspired to push their creative limits if their innovative efforts are rewarded.
    6. Participation in the Community
Build Outreach Initiatives : Future musicians can be inspired and awareness of the academy can be increased by starting workshops for neighborhood schools and associations. In addition to fostering relationships, community engagement positions WhatsOn Music Academy as a useful tool for music education.
Work with regional artists : Students can gain practical experience and build relationships within the music community by collaborating on projects with local musicians and artists. Students' knowledge of the sector can be improved and networking possibilities may result from this partnership.
    7. Ongoing Enhancement
Collect feedback : Establishing channels for students to offer input on workshops and courses is crucial for ongoing development. With this feedback, the institution can modify its programs to better suit students' interests and requirements.
Industry Developments : Promoting continuous professional development among academics guarantees that they stay up to date on the newest developments in music theory and technology.
    Conclusion
Deeper involvement will be promoted by adapting the educational process to each student's needs through personalized learning routes and efficient feedback systems.Learners might be encouraged to participate more completely by employing incentive tactics and clearly conveying the importance of engagement.

  • From old era to new era legacy continues.

Last friday night, International Convention City Bashundhara hall 2 was like full of festive mood as some of the country's finest bands from old era to new era —Ark, Artcell, Nemesis, Highway , Indalo, Karnival,Dads in the park and many more—assembled to give audiences a performance to remember.

The concert, "Mixtape Vol I", was organised by Dhaka Broadcast, in association with Skitto sim Although, the day-long event began at 3:00pm on Friday, many young people had begun gathering outside the venue as early as possible

indie-rock band, Dads in the Park famously known for their duo band set-up opened up the show, performing their hit songs Lullaby, Pareidolia, Afeenolove and their newly released song in to the iris.

As more music loving people entered the hall, Highway took to stage, and the crowd's energy skyrocketed with their heartfelt songs. Following their performance, Karnival and Indalo shuffled through their songs, taking the audience on a journey through their discographies.

More than 4,000 people had shown up for the concert, and this showed when they began singing along with Ashes, to fan favourite songs like, "Dhulabali", "Tamak", and "Shey Amare".

Ashes was followed by Nemesis, and by then, the crowd was singing along with whichever song was playing, in unison. Afterwards, Artcell rocked the stage with their power-packed performance, getting the crowd to tap into as much of their energy as they had left. As always crowed favourite dhukkho bilash played on stage everyone started singing with the band.
However, the moment Ark stepped onto the stage, with Hasan welcoming everyone, the crowd went absolutely crazy.

Ark's intense energy and passion even brought many in the audience to tears. The band performed their hit songs, "Protisruti", "Sweety", "Eto Koshto Keno", and many more. The concert ended with the fan favourite "Ja Re Ja".

Firday night experience was absolutely amazing. The show took us back to our college days. The young crowd carried the same craze we had for concerts back then. The crowd was very specific and clean, their response was spectacular," said Hasan, frontman of Ark.

"If we had not performed at Mixtape Vol I, I would have never guessed that the younger fans would vibe with our songs. Now, we have a few shows lined-up, which will take place outside of Dhaka. We look forward to performing on a regular basis from now on," he added

  • ICCB has hosted some beautiful performances in the past, and although Rock N Rhythm is the first performance there in the last three years.

The star-studded roster, put together by Adventor Communication.according to the organisers band were chosen with one goal in mind – to provide the new generational bands with a larger stage.

The rock concert featured Aurthohin, Shonar Bangla Circus, Karnival, Aftermath, Owned, Encore, Level Five, Savagery, Calypso, Chitropot and Ashes at the International Convention City Bashundhara on Friday
The Friday night show at the ICCB Expo Zone, however, left fans with a bittersweet experience.
Seeing favourite band all together Sharing same stage

Stepping into the arena, you could feel the generic atmosphere that prevails in such concerts. It's the usual scene: fans donning band T-shirts, groups of friends sitting in a circular formation, couples having their moments of embrace whenever a romantic number is being performed. Of course, there was the constant, coordinated waving of the mobile flashlight whenever a well-known song was performed.

Undoubtedly the best parts of the show were saved for last, in the final two to three hours. The headliners sounded amazing
During their set list, being the flamboyant performer that Bassbaba is, he attempted a bass flip. It went horribly wrong as the strap disconnected from the guitar. Utter chaos commenced.

However, upon getting strapped on again, Sumon made another attempt at the bass flip, this time succeeding to a massive ovation from the crowd.

  • Philosopher a young rising band

Philosopher is rising rock band from Dhaka, Bangladesh. the band has performed in several concerts in Dhaka .Formed in 2022, they might be new as a band but each Member have years of experience in music.

Yesterday they released their song and a debut music video, titled 'Nokkhotro' on their official YouTube channel, on June 30. The catchy composition, and romantic mood of the video has created a social media buzz within the release, and it is receiving positive audience response.

This beautiful music video features a depressed boy, who finds his first love and with love he finds something more in life.

We asked the band front member about the band and the inspiration behind the name of the band.
In replies Abi Sufian Sakib(vocal) said to us that most of our members are Harry Potter fan. The name "Philosophers" came from "Philosophers Stone" from "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone". That stone is a mythical substance supposed to change any metal into gold or silver and, according to some, to cure all diseases and prolong life indefinitely.

    The band current line-up is
    Musab Kamal – Drums
    Shohag Hossain Sagor – Bass
    Mahfuz Anik – Guitar
    Samin Yasir Sahil – Guitar
    Sufi Sakib – Voice
