With the issues surrounding climate change being more prominent now than ever after the recent Climate Agreement, Uswitch found out the environmental cost of the world’s most popular songs. They revealed after investigating the carbon emissions of over 200 tunes based on Spotify data on play count, duration, and the total number of streams.

Reducing the use of plastic is important because plastic production requires an enormous amount of energy and resources. This causes carbon emissions and contributes to global warming.
