    Tea is the most popular drink in the world and there are countless ways we make to consume it. Almost every corner in the world Tea is made and consumed everyday. According to the Ancient Chinese Culture where Tea was invented, The practice of Tea culture can bring the spirit and wisdom of human beings to a higher orbit.

    But if you want to know the most ancient way of making Tea we know of then you will have to hike deep into the remote Tea mountains of South East China and, handpicked leaves and buds from Tea trees that are hundreds of years old. In Chinese culture Tea is very important to their history, philosophy and tradition.

    History of Tea

    The history of Tea is long and gradual story of refinement. Many generations of Tea growers and producers have perfected the Chinese way of producing and manufacturing and various regional variants of Tea.

    The original idea is credited to the legendary Emperor Shennong, according to the historians this emperor has lived about 5000 years ago. The Emperor was a man of science and ancient studies. His strict edicts among many other rules, that every drinking water must be boiled for hygienic precaution. According to a story one day the Emperor was visiting one distant part of his realm, the Emperor and his law of court stopped for rest. As per his jurisdiction and law people from the place started boiling water for drinking purpose for the court. Some dried leaves from a nearby tree fell down into the boiling water, and a red brownish substance was infused into the water. As a scientist, the Emperor was very much curious and interested to taste the different coloured liquid, he drank some and found it refreshing. According to the Legend Tea was created 2737 BC.

    Till the date Tea drinkers are considered as the 'Academic' and 'Cultural Elites' in chinese culture. Also in many countries Tea drinkers are treated as intellectuals. Tea has had a strong influence in today's culture in many countries as well. The quality of Tea is judged by its colour, mesmerising flavours and taste, the quality of water and in some cases the Tea Set. 'Oolong Tea', 'Longjin Tea', 'Keemun', 'Huangshan Maofeng' are some famous Tea flavours from China.
