October is fast approaching, I think you may have noticed that artists on your friends list are posting their ink art and using hashtags like #Inktober2022. But you're still wondering what this inktober is and why we don't spell it ink October. Don't worry, today I'm going to tell the story of this Inktober.
Inktober is a social media art challenge where people draw with ink or digital ink tools every October. The month-long challenge is designed to help people practice their artistic skills as they come together to share their work. Inktober was created in 2009 by artist Jake Parker. Before October, the official website inktober.com publishes a list of draggable topics every day of the month.
However, you are not obliged to use the official list: many artists create their own October lists and share them on their Social Media. The idea is to just have fun, practice your skills, share your work, and encourage others to do the same. So if you don't like the themes published on the official Inktober list, you can use other lists or create your own.
