This month saw the 80th anniversary of V.E. Day and the ending of the war in Europe and it was great to have the opportunity to celebrate this by attending the Aldridge Musical Comedy Society's production of "Heroes & Sweethearts." This weekend sees the Pairc Festival, Birmingham's celebration of Irish music and culture at the New Irish Centre in Kings Heath.
