HEALTH campaigners and trade unions marched yesterday to celebrate 75 years of the NHS.

What is the NHS?

The NHS, or National Health Service, the publicly funded healthcare system in the United Kingdom. It founded in 1948 by Aneurin Bevan, the then Minister of Health, and is one of the world’s largest and most comprehensive healthcare systems. The NHS provides free healthcare to all UK residents, regardless of their income or employment status.
