As a Netflix film, Red Notice made a record on its opening day of becoming the most-watched film ever on the streaming service. It has already been addressed one of the most expensive movies of Netflix’s history

The starry film Red Notice has spread a splash by scoring the streamer’s biggest on its releasing day said the three main casts. Red Notice stars Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, got released on 12th November.

Sharing his joy over Instagram Reynolds wrote, ‘WOW #RedNotice is Netflix biggest ever opening day for a film,’ and made a toast for the record-breaking achievement. The film is proving to be a huge success for the team.

Gadot added, ‘This is amazing!!!! What can I say, you guys are the best and the reason why we make these films. So grateful and excited!!! Congratulations Netflix and to the entire @rednotice.movie team.’

Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, Red Notice debuted on Netflix this weekend after rolling out in select theaters the week before. It is a globe-trotting adventure made during COVID; Red Notice follows FBI profiler John Hartley (Johnson) as he teams up with wily art thief Nolan Booth (Reynolds) to track down an even more notorious thief (Gadot).

Obviously, the film earned mixed-to-negative reviews from critics, but fans are embracing it with a 92% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes. Though Red Notice didn’t exactly break the box office in its limited theatrical run, but the streaming numbers seems much healthier. So that is somehow a huge relief for Netflix.

Now with the coming days possibly red Notice will break the record of Extraction as the biggest Netflix movie of all time. Let’s see if the movie ranks among the streamer’s top 10 most-watched movies or not! By each passing day it could become a major hit.

The ending of Red Notice leaves the door wide open for a follow-up which probably will result into a sequel, if gets the target audience reach. Thus, Netflix will have another solid addition to its growing own film franchises.
