For many years now, I have taken an active interest in the work of St. Basils, a charity which supports homeless young people in the city of Birmingham and the wider West Midlands. Having been homeless myself  with a young family in the 1990's, I am only too aware of the trauma which this can cause and am keen to do whatever I can to alleviate this ongoing problem. 

Last November, we had our opening night for our Ethyon Cafe (based at our offices in the centre of Birmingham), at which I gave a folk concert and we raised funds for St. Basils. This was attended by the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress and we were pleased to make our own donation, as well as  encouraging others to contribute . We hope to continue to support this worthy local cause and look forward to working again with St. Basils in the future. This August, I am having them as the "Charity Of The Month" at my home church in Walsall and I would encourage everyone to find out more about this excellent charity and to (if possible) help them in any way that they can.
