For several years now, my good friend, Ged Graham, has been taking "Seven Drunken Nights--The Story Of The Dubliners" around the theatres of the British Isles.  It has been a pleasure to see this show in a variety of places and to look back over the musical influence which The Dubliners have had in my own life since my 1960's childhood. The show tells the story of the group from their formation in O'Donoghue's in Merrion Row in 1962, right through until 2012 when they finally retired . Along the way, we meet the various personnel who contributed to their success during those years.

"Seven Drunken Nights" combines interesting and at times, amusing narrative with the music and many songs which have been part of the repertoire of The Dubliners and during my latest visit to the show at Theatre Severn, we were singing and clapping along throughout and even, on our feet and dancing by the end of the evening.

It is always a pleasure to attend this show and to catch up with Ged afterwards and I wish him and the cast well, as they continue their tour, not only across the British Isles, but in the theatres of continental Europe. Long may they keep our memories of The Dubliners alive!
