Chinese leader Xi Jinping on Sunday vowed to steer China through the grave challenges of a nationalistic vision that has put it in a collision with the West. Speaking at the opening of the 20th Party Congress, where he is poised to secure a norm-breaking third term in power. But he also repeatedly underscored the risks and challenges the country faces. The Chinese government, Xi said, had “protected people’s lives and health” from Covid. Turned Hong Kong from “chaos to governance”, and carries out “major struggles” against “independence forces” in the island of Taiwan, a self-governing democracy.

General secretary of the Communist Party of Britain said: “I welcome President Xi’s recognition that building China into a modern socialist country, based on the unity of all ethnic groups, is the central task of the Communist Party of China”.

Those in the West are responsible for recent imperialist provocations on the Taiwan matter. That should take heed to Xi’s warning that the reunification of the country is a matter to be determined by the Chinese people without any external interference. China specialist Jenny Clegg, the senior lecturer said, ” Xi Jinping’s speech delivered an important message, not China alone, but for the whole world”.

China’s agenda from wide-ranging proposals, including increasing the income of low earners and narrowing the wealth gap, maintaining the dynamic zero-Covid policy, for green and core technology development. This demonstrates a clear commitment to carrying the country and people forward along the path of socialism and national reunification while progressively reforming international governance.

The Support from activists for the path laid out by Mr Xi comes as a new strategic paper by the European union says: “China has become even stronger global competition for the EU, the US and other like-minded partners. It is therefore essential to assess what is the best way to respond to current and foreseeable challenges”.

Xi said that the party will implement its overall policy for resolving the Taiwan question in the new era, and unswervingly advance the cause of national reunification. Xi said, “we will continue to strive for peaceful reunification with the greatest sincerity and utmost effort, but we will never promise to renounce the use of force, and we reserve the option of taking all measures necessary. This is directed solely at interference by outside forces and few separatists seeking ‘Taiwan independence’ and their separatist activities; it is by no means targeted at our Taiwan compatriots”.

Lastly, the West has made propaganda against China because the world political power which the US enjoyed has now been led by China. China’s policy of ‘national rejuvenation and ‘poverty alleviation is the root of China to stand at the top of the World. Taiwan is an internal matter of China, and no external interference should be made to turn it into a proxy war. China has become the pioneer in showing how World can be run without any religious segregation and also has become the example to be followed by the third-world country.
