1. Everything Everywhere All at Once
The movie is a comical and heartwarming sci-fi action adventure directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, also known as Daniels, about a worn-out Chinese American woman (Michelle Yeoh) who can’t seem to do her taxes. In order to stop a powerful creature from destroying the multiverse, Michelle Yeoh plays a Chinese-American lady who is the subject of an Internal Revenue Service audit. In supporting, roles are Stephanie Hsu, Ke Huy Quan, Jenny Slate, Harry Shum Jr., James Hong, and Jamie Lee Curtis. The movie, which incorporates elements of black comedy, science fiction, fantasy, martial arts movies, and animation, was dubbed a “swirl of genre anarchy” by The New York Times. On March 11, 2022, Everything Everywhere All at Once had its South by Southwest debut. On March 25, it began a limited theater run in the United States before being released widely by A24 on April 8.
2. Top Gun: Maverick
A 2022 American action drama directed by Ehren Kruger, Eric Warren Singer, and Christopher McQuarrie was based on a Peter Craig and Justin Marks scenario. Joseph Kosinski is in charge of it. Val Kilmer plays ADM in the sequel and second Top Gun film in the series. Along with Tom Cruise, who plays Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell from the first Top Gun movie, Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, and Ed Harris also appear in the movie. On April 28, 2022, Top Gun: Maverick had its CinemaCon premiere. Paramount Pictures released the film on May 27, 2022, in IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX, and Dolby Cinema cinemas around the country. It will be made available on Paramount+ as well.
3. The Northman
The Northman, an action-packed epic from imaginative director Robert Eggers, follows a young Viking prince on his quest to revenge the death of his father. It is an epic historical action thriller movie from 2022 that was directed by Robert Eggers and co-written by Sjón. The movie, which is based on the Amleth mythology, also stars Nicole Kidman, Claes Bang, Anya Taylor-Joy, Ethan Hawke, Björk, and Willem Dafoe in addition to co-producer Alexander Skarsgard. The story revolves around Amleth, a Viking prince who embarks on a mission to get revenge on those who killed his father. Norse mythology has a significant influence on the movie.
4. Ek Villain Returns
A 2022 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film written and directed by Mohit Suri is a spiritual sequel to his 2014 film Ek Villain. Tara Sutaria, Disha Patani, John Abraham, and Arjun Kapoor, among others, play prominent characters in it. The film premiered on July 29, 2022, in theaters. A new serial killer has emerged in the eight years since Rakesh Mahadkar terrified Mumbai. More violent and lethal, yet still wearing the Smiley Mask to hide. Ek Villain Returns is a book about two males who are in a one-sided relationship. The paths they follow to complete their love stories determine who the Hero and the Villain are.
5. Good Luck Jerry
Good fortune Subaskaran Allirajah, Aanand L. Rai, and Mahaveer Jain produced the 2022 Indian Hindi-language black comedy crime movie Jerry. Director Sidharth Sengupta oversaw it. In addition to Deepak Dobriyal, Mita Vashisht, Neeraj Sood, and Sushant Singh, Janhvi Kapoor plays the primary role. An approved remake of the Tamil original, Kolamaavu Kokila tells the story of a young girl who gets sucked into the fabled world of cocaine smuggling. On July 29, 2022, the movie made its premiere on Disney+ Hotstar.
