After beating by the Coronavirus pandemic twice in a row the annual music, film, and media event is planning on getting back in action next year in Austin, Texas. Recently it's announcing their acts along with the participants' names, SXSW made it to the headline and news.
The previous 2020 and 2021 editions couldn’t take place because of the epidemic. SXSW’s music festival is all set to run in multiple venues in Texas next year, running from March 14-22, with over 240 artists so far.
SXSW’s organizers said in a statement released back in March about next year’s festival, ‘We at SXSW are hopeful that once people feel it’s safe enough to return to what will be the new normal of life, there will be a real enthusiasm for getting back to the things that brought them joy or opportunity or just the simple need to be out amongst humanity. We can’t wait to bring people together once again to meet and share ideas.
‘We’re looking forward to bringing the music world back together next March to see where we’re headed.’
Recently SXSW the festival has announced its first run of musicians- Maxo Kream, BLACKSTARKIDS, Ezra Furman, Y2K92, Aeon Station, Claire Rousay, Delta Spirit, DUMA, Horsegirl, Yard Act, Vitreous Humor, Poppy Ajudha, HOODLUM, TEKE::TEKE, W.I.T.C.H. (We Intend to Cause Havoc), ANAVITÓRIA, Priya Ragu, Wargasm, Walt Disco, Maxo Kream, MC Yallah and James McMurty, and more will perform across the week at SXSW 2022.
‘Our first round of Showcasing Artists is a taste of what you can expect to see at SXSW 2022; a diverse line-up full of adventurous talent that’s ripe for discovery,’ James Minor, Head of SXSW Music Festival, said.
