In a global survey it is found that, Western countries are inclined to have a more of bad attitude towards Russia.

Russia’s negative view is mainly confined to US-allied Western states. Alliance of Democracies Foundation have discovered that Asian countries are in strong support for Russia. While Latin American opinion have been spilt into two matters. The world doesn’t share the same view of West for Russia, as proved by this global survey. Western have been biased and critical of Russia due to its strong position in the global powerful frontier.

There has been huge polarization between the Western countries and the rest of the World in their opinion towards Russia. 55% of the countries in Europe, are in favor of cutting economic ties with Russia. While majority of the Asian countries were against such move. But in Latin America, the opinion have been evenly split. Majority of 31 countries questioned were in favor of cutting ties with Moscow. Among those with the negative views about Russia were Poland(87%), Portugal(79%), Sweden(77%), Italy(65%), Great Britain(65%), the USA(62%), and Germany(62%).

But 20 countries have abstained from cutting ties with Moscow, including Greece, Kenya, Turkey, China, Israel, Egypt, Nigeria, Indonesia, South Africa, Vietnam, Algeria, the Philippines, Hungary, Mexico, Thailand, Morocco, Malaysia, Peru, Pakistan, and Suadi Arabia. Views in Colombia were evenly split on the issue. The survey also noted that the nations with most positive attitude towards Russia were India, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, and Egypt.

Also in recent survey in was found that majority of Chinese citizens hold a favorable view of Russia. Researchers found that nearly 80% of the people in China feels positive about Russia. When asked about the reason to support Russia, some common responses were “trust Putin,” “Putin has guts”, and “strong leadership”. Some felt that there is “brotherly love” shared between Russia and China. While some said that “the enemy of an enemy is our friend”.

All the survey shows that the Western countries have a biased opinion against Russia due to its forced invasion in Ukraine. The diplomatic ties between the countries are becoming weaker day by day. The coloration Russia by the Western media as war criminal has not made any special impact on the rest of countries that have abstained from cutting ties with Russia. Russia has also survived the sanctions made by West on Russian economy. Also, China is in good opinion about Russia and the world has a mixed opinion about them.
