Trade Unions vows to defeat authoritarian Tory threats

The labor movement has pledged to resist another “cynical and authoritarian” Tory assault on trade union rights.

The cost-of-living in Britain is soaring to a level which has become intolerable. The Tory government has decided to cover the financial crunch with striking down the human rights of the labor class. Karl Marx has said, “workers have nothing to loose except their chains”. Workers now have vowed to defeat the “authoritarian regime” of tory by furious challenge of strike. Transport secretary Grant Shapp’s warned about minimizing the workers movement “illegal” in railway services. Shapps clarified that, “workers strike discourages people from travelling by train and disrupts the delivery of vital freight nationwide”.

Shapp’s cabinet member has also confirmed that he wants to amend the Employment Relations Act. Which requires school bosses to allow staff attending disciplinary and grievance hearings to be accompanied by union representative. There was “summer discontent” looming large on the network, as the staffs pledge to fight job cuts, declining real-terms wages and deteriorating working conditions.

General secretary said, “the government needs to find the settlement to rail disputes, not attack the democratic rights of working people.” Tories can pass any law to deny members their fundamental rights. The workers have said, “the right to withdraw your labor is a fundamental right”.

Unison general secretary accused government of “finding scapegoat” to cover their own shortcomings. Union think tank argued that the Tories were “engaged in class war against hard-working people and the unions who protect them”.

This draconian law is met with a huge uproar by the workers and activists. The law is being framed to protect corporate profits and has been wheeled out to satisfy the needs of short-term factional politics.

As Marx said, “workers of the world unit”, this call should be given again to put end to the exploitation of workers. The trade unions should again be re-empowered for organizing strikes and to dismantle the government workings for their own benefits. Rule of law can no longer help in keeping the workers at check. A furious uproar is to be met by the government to put back the rights of the workers back in place.
