Within two days of being released, ‘Sweet Girl’ has become the top of Netflix’s most-watched list. It is not because its lead star is Aquaman’s Jason Momoa, but because of its surprising twist. Sanjida Tanmoy reports.

It was released on August 20 with lots of negative reviews becoming no. one rating on Netflix’s ott plot.

Brian Andrew Mendoza directed this American action thriller film. And the film was written by Philip Eisner and Gregg Hurwitz. Jason Momoa, Isabela Merced, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Raza Jaffrey, Justin Bartha, Lex Scott Davis, Michael Raymond-James, and Amy Brenneman are the stars of this film. Jason Momoa not only plays in the action-revenge thriller “Sweet Girl” but is also the executive producer of the movie.

After a cold open, the movie flashes back an unclear “years earlier” to establish that Momoa’s Ray Cooper is an outdoorsy family man whose wife, Amanda is very ill. They’ve tried everything to cure Amanda. One last hope in the form of a new drug Spero, made by a pharmaceutical corporation called BioPrime.

Ray, finds out due to BioPrime CEO Simon Keeley’s new business move, they pulled off the drugs from the market. Watching Keeley on a live debate with Congresswoman Diana Morgan, Ray calls in and threatens Keeley, saying if he doesn’t reverse it, he’ll kill him. But when his search for the truth leads to a deadly encounter that puts Ray and his daughter Rachel in harm’s way, Ray’s mission turns into a quest for vengeance to protect the only family he has left.
