Dive into this week’s music picks featuring BLUE FOUNDATION’s dream-pop track “Close To The Knife”, the bold collaboration between Sleaford Mods and Hot Chip, and Benjamin Booker’s electrifying single “Same Kind Of Lonely”. Each music showcases raw talent, innovative videos, and heartfelt lyrics that resonate deeply.

BLUE FOUNDATION release bittersweet dream-pop gem “Close To The Knife”!

Smooth, ambient sounding, gritty edge, soulful vocals, overall a really good song which I must’ve completely fallen for in less than a minute of hearing. Despite the slightly odd choice of title the lyrics are quite heartfelt. The accompanying video is shot from a point of view perspective

Sleaford Mods v Hot Chip for Warchild = Hot Mods – New Tracks

I’m absolutely engaged with these songs, I enjoy its rawness and unapologetic attitude. I like the video for the songs. Though it’s creative piece as you’re not really sure if it means something or is bizarre creativity for the sake of it. Either way just watch, be entertained and enjoy the songs

HI FI SEAN & DAVID MCALMONT ANNOUCNE NEW ALBUM TWLIGHT OUT 14.2.2025

An amazing video that’s bordering on Cinematic, HI FI Sean and David have done themselves proud with this and the song I’d just incredible. The vocals are raw, strong and hit all the notes. This is OST quality it’s that good

Geordie Greep (of black midi) Shares Live Performance filmed at TV Eye in New York + New Tour Dates Announced

Quite a good performance and even though you get a reaction from the crowd I’d have liked to have seen a bit more of them. For me, I like Geordie’s music as it’s mixture of retro classic and new but for this I’d have liked to have seen more of the artist/crowd interaction

Benjamin Booker shares new single ‘Same Kind Of Lonely’ + video – new album ‘Lower’ out Jan 24th on Fire Next Time Records

What a single, absolutely amazing, packed to the brim with energised riffs and bass and rhythmic drum beats. Benjamin’s vocals just glide through the song effortlessly. I’ve got great hopes for Same Kind of Lonely getting bigger in 2025
