Director Dan Trachtenberg has cast New Mexico star Amber Midthunder for the lead role of forthcoming Disney's Predator Reboot sequel.

Amber Midthunder is famous for her roles in Legion and Roswell. Her recent upcoming film is The Ice Road directed by Jonathan Heinsleigh’s and her co-star is Liam Neeson.

This particular Predator project has been in the works for several years. Per a new report from Discussing Film, production will finally begin soon in Calgary, Alberta, with Midthunder starring in the lead role. The franchise has started in1987 where Arnold Schwarzenegger lead the film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, film writer, Patrick Aison is on board to write the screenplay. No plot details have been confirmed as yet.

In November 2020, it was revealed that a fifth entry in the Predator franchise is going to be onboard and its’ title would be Skulls and the director Dan Trachtenberg also confirmed his involvement.

Director Dan Trachtenberg confirmed the news on Twitter and also suggested that more official announcements had been on their way….

 “This was meant to be a surprise,” he wrote on November 20. “Been working on this for almost 4 years now. I am very sad that what we had in store for how you could discover this movie will no longer happen. It’s a bummer. But also…YAY!”
