Movie of the month: The Northman

The Northman, directed by Robert Eggers and co-written by Eggers and Sjón, is a 2022 American major historic action drama film. The film stars Alexander Skarsgrd and Nicole Kidman and is based on the mythology of Amleth, a source of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. The plot directs when Prince Amleth’s father is brutally murdered by his uncle, who also kidnaps the prince’s mother, the boy is on the edge of becoming a man. Amleth is now a Viking who ravages Slavic settlements two decades later. The Northman is a Viking epic with a reported budget of more than $70 million. This 2 hours 20 minutes movie is available on four platforms such as Amazon, Disney+, HBO, Hulu.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, is geared up for the major theatrical premiere. The lead cast of the film includes Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, and Sanjay Mishra, and directed by Anees Bazmee. It is a sequel part to Priyadarshan’s 2007 horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. Under the banner of T-Series and Cine 1 Studios, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is scheduled to hit the screens on 20 May. Meanwhile, fans burst into applause as Kartik made his entry in the trailer, which was aired in theatres.

DC League of Super-Pets

The Super-Pets’ rescue mission to free the Justice League from being kidnapped by Lex Luthor is still being kept under wraps, but the film’s advertising push has indicated that it will revolve around the Super-Pets’ rescue mission. Warner Animation Group’s DC League of Super-Pets is an anticipated American 3D animated superhero comedy film. It’s based on the Legion of Super-Pets, a DC Comics superhero squad. The movie is scheduled to be released in the United States on 20 May.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Because the film is about variants and the multiverse, there’s a chance that multiple performers will appear in cameo roles, either as variations of existing characters or reprising roles from other franchises. Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen reprise their roles as Strange in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen and is directed by Sam Raimi. The movie will be released on Disney+ – just as previous Marvel films have.

X=Prem

X=Prem is a Bengali film that is set to be released on 13 May. R Bhakti Klein and Arjun Chakraborty will star in the film, which is directed by Srijit Mukherji. The film has already gotten a lot of buzz as the teaser is out. The brief clip gives a glimpse into an emotional love story in which hardship strengthens emotions. We’re curious about Arnab’s role in Khilaat and Joyee’s love story based on the teaser. Srijit had previously stated that technology plays a major role in this futuristic love story.
