Israeli police, out of nowhere, attacked the Palestinian worshipers of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. According to the reports, 19 people were hurt in that fierce crackdown by the police. Since Friday, for the second time, the Israeli police raided the area.

The Unarmed Palestinians

Israeli police attacked violently the unarmed Palestinian people who were worshiping at that time of RAMADAN. They even used tear gas, stun grenades, and rubber bullets on them during the crackdown. According to a report, the police arrested over 300 people, and about 160 people got injured. Unfortunately, the attack took place during the month of Ramadan. Israeli police were beating the group of people who were fasting. Things cannot be more brutal than this politically motivated attack.

The Western Media

The word, ‘clash,’ is used by the spineless Western media to describe the horror in Jerusalem. The way the events are being covered by the Western media, it looks like there is no imbalance, inequality, discrimination, exploitation, and political interest of Israel behind the attack. There had been no mention of the use of tear gas, stun grenades, and rubber bullets on them during the crackdown on the unarmed Palestine people.

The Palestinian journalists are also attacked continuously. The report suggests that the attacks are part of the colonial establishment of Israel. If any journalist tries to report and record the oppression, the person would definitely be punished. Politically, the process of censoring the critical voices of Palestine is promoted so that nobody can know about the imbalance, inequality, discrimination, and exploitation.

Why Violence?

Politicians are claiming that these violent attacks happen reasonlessly: people need not commit any crime to be punished by the dishonest, inhumane, and politically motivated oppressors. There is no reason behind the raids. The raids take place to demonstrate the colonial control of Israel over the unarmed Palestinian people. The attacks are the signs of colonial aggression of the Palestinians.

The Palestinians are tortured every day. They are traumatised. If a person looks at the Palestinian media, he or she would see the real picture of the unlawful raids and their impacts. But unfortunately, international media are not interested in telling the suffering of the Palestinians. They only seem concerned when the colonisers are affected.

The idea of peace is a political narrative that only works for the Israelis. But, for the Palestinians, there is no such thing as peace. The Palestinians are there to be tortured, raided, and traumatised.
