K-pop steamroller boyband BTS have returned with their brand-new single, ‘Butter’. It gets over 10 million views in less than 15 minutes after release.
Following last year’s ‘Dynamite’, the song marks the second English-language single from the K-pop boyband. Earlier, BTS had described ‘Butter’ as a ‘very summery’ song that has a ‘superstar glow’ to it. BTS’s ‘Butter’ gets over 10 million views in less than 15 minutes and it breaks the record for the biggest music video premiere on YouTube watch.
This Sunday (May 23), BTS will perform ‘Butter’ live for the first time at the Billboard Music Awards 2021, where the group is up for four awards. The boyband has been nominated for Top Duo/Group, Top Social Artist, and Top Song Sales Artist, as well as Top Selling Song for ‘Dynamite’. Their upcoming BBMAs appearance also will mark the fourth consecutive year the boyband has attended the awards ceremony.
The South Korean boyband are also expected to make their special cameo in the upcoming Friend reunion. This will be premiered on HBO in the US on May 27. They will join other celebrity guests like Lady Gaga, David Beckham, Justin Bieber, James Corden, and more, who are also confirmed to form appearances.
