Things to know about Cannes Film Festival 2022

Cannes Film Festival started its journey for the first time in 1946. Officially it is named Festival de Cannes which usually works for those who are interested in arts and movies. Cannes Film Festival is a festival where film producers could serve their ideas according to their wishes, sign film contracts and view films.

Starting off the event

This year Cannes Film Festival will be started from May 17 to May 28 and it’ll be the 75th edition. For more than 70 years this celebration of cinema is active. Every year professionals from the whole world take part in it for showing their passion for cinemas. Professionals make effort to discover new talents and work with international stars for making and distributing good films.

Line-up announcement

The Cannes Film Festival director Thierry Fremaux and exiting president Pierre Lescure announced the line-up on April 14. New films will be presented here by the directors like Claire Denis and Davi d Cronenberg. Folks are expecting amazing encounters from the directors and artists.

Debuts  

New debuts are onboard from the directors and artists for the festival’s top prize list. Among them, Arnaud Desplecin, Jean-Pierre, Kelly Reichardt, Claire Denis, Luc Dardenne, Hirokazu Kora-eda, and James Gray filmmakers are making their way to get winning prizes.

The new horror film Crime Of The Future by Cronenberg will be making its debut casting with Kristen Stewart, Lea Seydoux, and Viggo Mortensen. Baz Luhrmann’s Top Gun: Maverick and Elvis Presley biopic will be played out for the competition. Another film is making its debut by George Millar named Three Thousand Years Of Longing.
