Every year the first Monday in May is allotted for the Met Gala event. Met gala previously was postponed for the Covid-19 situation after many cancellation notices. The theme was ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion’ as always it uses different themes. Now in 2022, the event will take place on 2^nd May 2022.

Met Gala is basically a fashion celebration for spring fashion exposition opening in respect of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. All the top designers are invited to co-operate with Hollywood fashion models as the theme selected. The Met Gala also collects funds for the MET which is controlled by legendary Vogue EIC Anna Wintour. Vogue disclosed the dress code following the theme for the Met Gala on 11^th April of 2022 which is called ‘Gilded Glamour’.

As the previous theme for Met Gala was a lack of glamour to many fashion folks. This year that lacking is going to be removed on the red carpet. The taking about gilded glamour indicates that there will be huge use of gold in Met Gala 2022. The theme will be this year ‘In America: Anthology on Fashion’. Met Gala red carpet always welcomes the home viewers to stream though it considers a private event. The event got no specific timing to stream yet but it could be assumed that like last year it could start at 5:30 p.m. EST.

Vogue has yet not given any announcement of the live stream but the publication’s website like Teen Vogue could get the minimal excess that is available to watch from their site. The dress code guideline from Vogue to use of white-tie and the avatar of Gilded Age New York the publications explained.

This year’s Met Gala 2022 event will be hosted by top Hollywood fashion icons Anna Wintour and co-chaired by Regina King, Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Met Gala never publishes the guest lists as it is a great climax for all that who will be appearing on the red carpet. However, from the previous past years it could be assumed that Kardashians are allotted in the guest list, some political personnel, the star’s from pop music and obviously, the one and only Rihanna will be there.
