A new study found that mental health services are continuously failing to give the right health services to teens which are truly shocking. Sixty-three percent of people agreed with this point that younger patients are victims of a lack of excess to get treatment. Patients’ symptoms got worsened after arrival at A&E informed by fifty-eight percent of people.
Youth mental health charity Steam 4 approved research named ‘major expansion’ which stands for the rising psychological needs of young people. Existing mental health care services are very inadequate among patients aged under 5-18 and they are terribly in crisis. Only about twenty percent of people believe that the services are appropriate which is totally wrong according to Mede Connect Healthcare Insight’s survey.
Most clinical consultant psychologists worried about young people with eating disorders, psychosis, and those who tried to take their own life. Dr. Nihara Krause the founder of youth mental health charity Steam 4 said: ‘So many vulnerable young people in desperate need of urgent help with their mental health are being forced to wait for so long up to two years for the care they need immediately.’
To overcome this crisis we need to help the generation very supportively. By recruiting more staff the situation could be better. Young folks need to survive these health issues. Investment in these services in many ways could beat the global mental health crisis problem.
Helga Pile, Unison deputy head of health said: ‘Attention is rightly being paid to the colossal backlog of delayed operations. But the scale of unmet mental health needs – including the impact of the pandemic on young people – is largely going under the radar.
‘Mental health services need a rapid expansion plan, backed by sustainable funding and a proper workforce strategy. They need far more than just lip service from ministers.’
