Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett directing the Scream 6 film once again and the writers James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick will also be returning with their magical thriller script.

An official gist of that film reads, ‘Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past.’

The fifth chapter arrived earlier this year and saw the core cast reprise their roles, with Courtney Cox, Neve Campbell, and David Arquette all returning to face off against the notorious masked serial killer Ghostface.

Courtney Cox also recently confirmed that she would once again return to the sixth Scream outing as reporter Gale Weathers. Speaking on the Just for Variety with Marc Malkin podcast,

Courtney Cox said, ‘I got the script yesterday. And I haven’t read it yet. I just got it, and I’m so used to getting, you know, Shining Vale scripts, which are 26 pages, and I’m, ‘Whoah, I’ve got to read a script.’ I’m excited to read it.’

“I DON’T KNOW IF I’M SUPPOSED TO SAY ANYTHING. LET ME TELL YOU THE KILLER!

Another thrilling part of the Scream series is coming out. The release date for the next installment has been confirmed. It seems the waiting is almost about to end quickly. SCREAM 6 will be released in cinemas on 31 Mar 2023.
