DISORIENTATIONS Announce UK Summer Tour Dates

It took me a couple of listening attempts to get into it, and I absolutely did. If I had to pick five things to describe Lost Today they’d be, Incredible, Energised guitar riffs, Superb vocals, Great vibes, and, Great album.

Listen ‘Lost Today’ album

Now I enjoy watching music videos, but I particularly like the ones where the fan base is included as it shows the love for the band but also that people are aware of who they are and that their music’s appreciated

Africa Oyé Festival

22nd & 23rd June 2024

Sefton Park, Liverpool

FREE ENTRY

Africa Oyé, the UK’s largest free celebration of African music and culture, takes place annually in Liverpool. Beginning in 1992 as a series of small gigs in the city centre, the event has gone from strength to strength, moving to its present Sefton Park home in 2002 to cope with demand.

With too many negative representations of Africa entrenched in images of war, disease, poverty and famine, Oyé seeks to redress the balance and highlight the fantastic range of cultures, foods, music and artists that make this great continent one of the most vibrant and inspiring in the world.

“This isn’t just the largest festival of African and Caribbean music in Britain, it’s the best” – The Sunday Times

The festival is also a truly international event that harnesses the spirit of multiculturalism. It has played host to artists from nations right across Africa and also programmes music from South America and The Caribbean with Salsa, Soca and Reggae always a popular addition to the festivities.

But Africa Oyé is about more than music… Over 90 stalls selling the best food, drink, arts and crafts and fashion from Africa and beyond will again be present at the Oyé village along with longtime supporter ‘News From Nowhere’, one of the UK’s premier stockists of African music, with all the performing artists and much more on sale, it’s a great opportunity to not only take in some of the best roots music around, but take some home with you too.

For more information on the festival and other events held across the country by Africa Oyé please visit africaoye.com and follow them across social media.

The UK’s biggest celebration of African and Caribbean music and culture will take place at Sefton Park in Liverpool this June with a stellar line-up of live music, DJs, workshops and more.

On 22nd and 23rd June 2024, Africa Oyé will take over one of the region’s most picturesque green spaces in what has become a Liverpool institution since its humble beginnings as a series of city centre gigs in 1992.

Goat Girl Share New Track and Video ‘words fell out’ Watch It Here Below The Waste Out This Friday, June 7, 2024 via Rough Trade Records

A good video and I actually liked it. The lack of any colour tones but rather just grainy monochrome adds just that bit more depth to the sombre tones of the song. For tracks with deeper, emotive depth monochrome just seems to mirror the moods better

Amyl & The Sniffers Announce November UK Tour Dates

Watch “U Should Not Be Doing that”

The song, absolutely incredible from start to finish. This is the first time that I have ever heard of Amyl and her band yet am already enjoying her music and what she is about. One of the things I like about her voice, apart from it being utterly charismatic, is that it balances the the deepness of the music.

The video for the song is just as fantastic and just shows the close-knit relationship of the band. Can’t even fault it.

You can catch her on tour later this year. Full details including tickets are below

Sleaford Mods to play Divide and Exit UK Tour in grassroots venues this November

‘Tied Up in Nottz’, with restored ‘borrowed bus’ video, out now

You can think what you like about this Nottingham duo but what I will say is that I admire and respect their ‘don’t give a f**k, I tell it as it is’ attitude. If anything, there should be more artists like this who have a bordering non-conformist zero bulls**t attitude.

Now I have seen several great artists come out of Nottingham and these guys are amongst the great talents.

Love Tied up in Nottz, cannot even fault it.

You can Preorder the album, Divide and Exit as well as catch them on tour later this year
