Guitar Rhythm Pattern

• The strumming uses both downstrokes (strumming down across the strings) and upstrokes (strumming up across the strings).

• Here’s how the pattern goes:
  • On beats 1 and 2, strum down twice (down, down).
  • On beat 3, strum up once.
  • On beat 4, strum down twice (down, down).
• This pattern repeats throughout the entire bar.
• The second line shows another way to strum the same rhythm:
  • Beat 1: Down strum
  • Beat 2: Up strum
  • Beat 3: Down strum
  • Beat 4: Up strum (then another up strum)
• Both ways create the same basic rhythmic feel.
