Get ready to groove with an electrifying musical journey curated by Adam Humphries! This week’s selection features five indie rock firestarters, including Burr Island, Soda Blonde, ADE, McKOWSKI, and Forty Foot. With bold lyrics, raw energy, and artistic brilliance, these artists are sure to leave you begging for more.

Burr Island dive into political waters with their third release, ‘English Roses’!

A soft, mellow song about growing up in the rural countryside slightly. What’s actually quite clever about the track itself is that even though the music is smooth and melodic the words, when listened closely, have a dark tone as it’s about Xenophobia and racism. English Roses has that nostalgic feel where the guys are singing about living awkward lives

SODA BLONDE break stuff in ‘Bad Machine’ video!

Straight from the beginning and all the way through the video has the video diary vibe to it and just fits the feel of the song completely. It would be hard to find any downsides to either the song or video as they’re both done to perfection. It captures that feeling of ‘after the night out’ and everything that comes with it

ADE SHARES CINEMATIC FINAL TRACK: “ONE OF US”

An absolutely incredible video for an equally incredible song. The song and the video combined, One of Us has that near cinematic quality to it. You could easily see the track being used in a scene in a film or TV series. The video is just as great as it goes all out to be fantastic but it careful to not completely overdo itself

McKOWSKI – The Lost Brothers’ Mark McCausland Releases “Return of Pygmy Pony” || Announces New Album – 15 Sept

A smooth melodic tune which changes and evolves itself effortlessly and beautifully. Four minutes of uninterrupted delicate guitar riffs which have that Mediterranean twang to them. The further genius of this song is that it’s a non-vocal instrumental. Sit back and enjoy the guitar twangs

FORTY FOOT – Dublin Alt-Rock Quartet Release “Melty Brains” || Listen Now

If there was a group who discovered a way to take a term and were able to change it into something else then these lads from Ireland have done just that. The original term Melty Brains supposedly refers to someone repeatedly telling you a boring story. Forty Foot however have taken that and turned it into something energetic and far less boring
